I highly recommend Hernandez Truck Repair for one stop for all repairs.nnWithin a year, I had taken our truck to...n3 KW repair shops.n4 alignment truck repair shops.n1 mom's pap's truck repair shop.n3 steers tires.n8 drives.n7 alignments.nReplaced;nTie rod.nKing pins.nU-bolts.nShocks.nBushings/ ball joins.nSteer tires wheels.nWheel seals.nDifferent size tires. Several tires were balanced.n1 set of leaf springs.nRear shocks and bushings.nX bar/wish bones.nDrive shaft.nOil pan seal replaced.n3 DOT inspections.nnI called Hernandez Truck Repair and explained the symptoms and the history of previous repairs.nnSymptoms were:nOdd break feeling on the break pedal.nOdd shake that no one had figured out.nOdd wear and tear of the tires, especially the steers.nThe truck felt like all tires were fighting each other.nOil leak that is noticeable after the oil pan seal was replaced and the engine was washed.nnThe mechanic started diagnosing the truck around 11 am.nBy 11:45, Jorge showed me the drive shaft had loose/play, which consequently could be the cause of the odd shaking and odd wear and tear of the tires.nUpon further diagnosis, they discovered the fly wheel seal needed to be replaced.nDuring the repairs, I was called back and was shown that the kingpin on the driver side was damaged.nFurthermore, the oil pan had metal particles, which is known for engine pistons wear and tear.nnJorge took the time to explain the repairs needed.nHe also mentioned that engines with metal shavings are known for pistons coming apart, causing major breakdowns.nnWe were concerned on down time.nJorge gave us an ETA on repairs to be completed by Friday.nWe approved all repairs.nnEduardo, the main mechanic that worked on all repairs, only took a 30 min break. 2 more mechanics came to assist around 15:30.nBy 18:00, the front end and engine had been taken apart.nAll parts were presented to us to show us other broken/ damaged parts...nDriver side Kingpin, front wheels, and front brakes showed evidence of damage due to the damaged drive shaft that needed to be replaced.nnEngine overhaul, including all repairs, were completed by Thursday night.nnMechanics would start working around 7:00 AM. Several mechanics worked together and stayed overtime to complete the repairs and get us back on the road.nnAll the mechanics were friendly and respectful to our equipment.nAll parts were hand cleaned, washed, and painted.nnThey went above and beyond our expectations. They cleaned everything they touched, including the windshield and tires, before releasing the truck.nnOnce all repairs were completed, I asked them to check the trailer breaks and replaced them if needed. Little did I know, one of the breaks had seized, and one of the sensors had been damaged.nnDuring conversations with the mechanics, I understand several have been raised by their parents in the trucking repair business.nnLupe, Jorge's wife, was a general manager at Flying-J for many yrs, her father worked 20 yrs at Blue Beacon.nHe is also part of the team.nnAll support each other on their tasks to complete repairs in a timely manner.nAll go home together.nnAll made sure we had what we needed.nBy Friday, during their lunch break, we celebrated a birthday together by cutting a cake.nnAs I mentioned before, they went above and beyond my expectations.nnI will do my best to bring the truck for any repairs, including oil changes.nnI will post this review on several web pages as it is the least I can do to show my appreciation.nnThank you, Lupe, Jorge, Eduardo, Jose, Gerardo, Jesus, Ernesto, and Cesar, for the excellent and customer service!!!nnUpdate;nWe stopped by to change airbags, shocks, and level valve.nnThey were busy, yet they worked overtime to get us back on the road.nnThis shop reminds me of the mechanics that work on racecars.nThey work together to assist each other and all make sure each other is done before checking out.nnI'll be back!nnI'm back at my favorite shop.nGears felt odd.nJorge got under the truck and sent me a video of a damaged clutch due to a fail part. Repaired in 5 days.

For any trucker getting their truck fixed, you already know how frustrating this situation can be especially when it’s not going to your mechanic of choice, but let me tell you this was nothing but peaceful in all my eight years super respectful the timeframe they said that the truck would be ready. It was actually ready 30 minutes before that the fact that he even cleaned the engine after and fixed a few loose screws that he easily could’ve charged a couple hundred for was enough if you’re in El Paso please go there to get your truck fixed. It’s clean and safe he even let me borrow his car to go get coffee and food. I will be back anytime if my truck breaks down again in that area that’s the only place I’m going. We had out RV breakdown about an hour outside El Paso. Initially took to IH dealer and told needed a whole new engine. Tough message to hear and HUGE $’s. I had towed over to Jorge the boss and Jerry the mechanic. These guys dug into it and was just turbo and injectors. Work was done BERY fast and they’ve kept me updated with videos along the way. First rate shop here. Some of the best service I’ve revived for various mechanics over the years. Tremendous people and run a great business. They even did a little computer programming for me so my power pack works as it should!nnHighly recommend this shop to anyone needing some work!
